This five-day loop blends self-drive freedom with guided safari depth. You depart Singida at your preferred hour for Karatu’s cool highlands and a restful night at Unique Homestay. The journey pivots to a 4×4 with a professional driver-guide, pausing at storied Olduvai Gorge before rolling into Central Serengeti. Two nights at Serengeti Heritage Tented Camp place you amid year-round wildlife and big-sky sunsets ideal for golden-hour photography and stargazing. The route is paced for comfort, maximizing daylight drives and minimizing transfers while starting and ending at Karatu.

Christmas Day delivers a full game drive across Seronera’s rivers, kopjes, and plains, followed by an en-route safari toward Ngorongoro. Descend into the crater for concentrated sightings—lions, elephants, hippos, and, with luck, black rhino—then return to Karatu’s familiar comforts. On departure, self-drive back to Singida.
